Bath taps – Wall Mounted, Bath Mounted or Stand Pipe
When choosing the right type of bath taps for your home, you need to know that there are three main styles that you can choose from. There are the wall mounted, bath mounted and, of course, the stand pipe. All three of these give a different look and feel to your bathroom, and choosing the best one is all about a matter of taste. Right now, let's take a closer look at all three of these different bath taps so you have a better idea of what these three kinds of mounts are.
First, you have the wall mounted bath taps. These are bath taps that mount right into the wall. This is a very popular look, because it removes the need to have any pipework showing at all. This actually gives the bathroom a more open look and the sense that you have more space. All wall mounted bath taps come in a variety of different styles and finishes, however, they all work much in the same way. The good news is, there are so many different wall mounts to choose from, that you should not have a problem finding one that fits the look and feel of your bathroom. A particular favourite is the Italiano wall mounted double lever which is a very functional and fantastic looking tap.
Next, we have the stand pipe bath taps. These are becoming more popular as they are a good option to use with the ever increasing popularity of freestanding baths. Stand pipe taps are where the pipes come right from the floor to the bath tub itself, they are not mounted onto anything. Traditionally, this is how most bath taps looked, and some people like to keep that classic look. The Italiano modern dual standpipes CO27 tap is perfect for use with a freestanding bath and is certainly a model that is gaining in popularity.
Last, but not least, you have the bath mounted taps. This is the kind of look that you can give to your bathroom to give it a very sleek and finished look. As the name states, these bath taps are mounted right onto the tub itself. A favourite of ours is the Italiano modern dual bath mixer with shower hand GS-B800BATH which not only looks great but offers the extra flexibility of having a built in shower hand. When choosing a bath mounted tap, you need of course to check the options available on your bath. Some baths have tap holes already drilled and some come without so you will need to check that your chosen tap is compatible with your bath. Just like the other bath taps, you can get the bath mounted bath taps in a variety of different sizes and shapes. This insures that you will have no problem finding the right style for your house.
